Through in-car demonstrations, students will learn vehicle dynamics (physics) changes, steering, braking, and effects on different road surfaces, using both ABS- and non-ABS-braking. Front-wheel skids and rear-wheel skids are safely demonstrated, and students learn how to recover from these situations.
Purpose: The skid control exercise teaches counter steering techniques at times when traction or steering control is lost as a result of slippery driving conditions. Students learn to apply these techniques on all road surfaces and conditions.
